Read the full review: Wharfedale Diamond 12.3Įlac's affordable standmounters are brilliant performers for the money. If you're looking for reasonably-priced hi-fi speakers, the talented Wharfdale 12.3 are a superb buy. The 12.3 are available in four finishes – black, walnut, white and a classy light oak – all of which belie their relatively modest price tag. Feed them a poor signal and they’ll round off rough edges and downplay unwanted aggression without sounding like they’re smothering the life out of the music.Īs for build quality, the cabinets are carefully crafted with a traditional straight-edge design and a tidy feet arrangement. Sonically, they're smooth, even-handed and wonderfully refined for the money. Indeed, we were so impressed by the Wharfedale Diamond 12.3's musical performance we deemed it a What Hi-Fi Awards 2021 winner.Īt 98cm tall, the Diamond 12.3 aren't a particularly imposing pair of floorstanders, so they'll fit into most spaces. Wharfedale's Diamond range now features a truly outstanding (and affordable) floorstander. We’ve loved the originals and the LS50 Meta takes the performance to a notably higher level. While the basic sonic character is instantly familiar, the Meta speakers have gained a level of clarity and finesse the originals only hinted at, sounding clean while still offering muscle and dynamics. MAT is KEF’s way of coping with the sound that comes off the back of the tweeter dome a plastic circular maze of tubes on the back promising greater absorption for cleaner, less distorted highs.

The LS50’s Uni-Q driver array, where the tweeter sits in the throat of the mid/bass unit, has been thoroughly reworked, taking in all the refinements that KEF has developed over the past eight years and adding something new in the form of Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT).

And with the LS50 Meta they have delivered a worthy upgrade. This target would also coincide with Bounce’s claim to be capable of serving over a million scooters within the next 24 months. The original LS50 speakers had little wrong with them but after eight years, KEF figured they deserved a fresh look. This essentially eliminates the wait time associated with charging up a battery.īounce aims at establishing such a charging station at various locations and also wants to achieve a target of putting a battery-swapping station one kilometre away from every customer. The battery swapping technology will work similarly to a fuel pump, in which a user could ride down to and then swap out a discharged battery for a completely filled one. The Eco Mode allows a single-charge range of up to 85km.īounce Infinity E1’s biggest talking point is the battery swapping technology that the company is trying to push for in the mainstream market. Three riding modes are on offer – Drag Mode, Eco Mode and Power Mode the Power Mode offers a top speed of 65kmph. The Bounce Infinity E1 also gets a 2kWhr 48V battery pack that is IP 67 rated and can be swapped out and charged anywhere and also supports regenerative braking energy re-cooperation from the scooter. The Bounce Infinity E1 offers a ground clearance of 155mm and a seating height of 780mm which should be adequate for people of all heights. Braking power is derived from a 230mm front disc brake and 203mm rear hydraulic discs with Combined Braking System (CBS). On the mechanical front, the tubeless tyres are chunky 12 inch sized having a healthy 90 (front) and 120 (rear) profile.

The Bounce Infinity E1 has finally been launched in India and is now available for pre-booking. This brings the effective price per KM down to Rs 0.65.
